Energy Modeling for High‑Performance Buildings
Clear analysis. Accurate simulation. Trusted expertise for LEED, code compliance, and Energy Trust of Oregon incentive pathways.
I help project teams navigate energy codes, incentives, and performance requirements with clarity and accuracy. My work supports better design decisions, smoother approvals, and high‑performing buildings across Oregon and beyond.
Services
Energy Modeling
Whole‑building energy modeling for code compliance, incentives, and design optimization.
LEED & Building Support
Modeling, documentation, and coordination for LEED, Energy Trust of Oregon, and other certification pathways.
Performance Consulting
Envelope studies, system comparisons, early‑phase analysis, and support for public‑sector requirements.
Featured Projects
The Steward
All‑electric, five‑story mixed‑use building in the Tigard Triangle designed to achieve Path to Net Zero status — the first multifamily building in Oregon to do so. Modeling supported advanced envelope strategies, a 103‑kW rooftop solar array, and system selections that enable extremely low operating carbon and near‑zero resident electricity bills.
PSU Vernier Science Center
Major renovation and expansion of Portland State University’s science facilities, integrating teaching labs, research spaces, and student support areas. Modeling informed mechanical system strategies, envelope upgrades, and performance code compliance for a complex academic building with diverse programmatic loads.
Literary Arts
Renovation of a historic downtown building into a modern literary and community hub. Modeling guided envelope improvements, mechanical system upgrades, and energy‑efficient design strategies while balancing preservation requirements with performance goals.
Multnomah County Library – Albina Library
Renovation of an existing library to meet county sustainability and community‑focused design goals. Modeling supported LEED documentation, informed system selection, and secured Energy Trust of Oregon incentives.
