Size: 90,000 sf renovation
Project Info: Major renovation and expansion of Portland State University’s science facilities, integrating teaching labs, research spaces, and student support areas. Modeling informed mechanical system strategies, envelope upgrades, and performance code compliance for a complex academic building with diverse programmatic loads. The renovation repurposed a recently replaced heat recovery chiller using the campus chilled water loop for supplementary cooling, requiring calculations performed outside of the modeling software.
